Many times I have faced things that have “gotten in the way” – to put it lightly – of my dreams, goals and desires. These have been big things that appeared to have no way around them.
What does that really mean? To me, it means that anything I feel inspired and directed by God to do is possible for me to do with His divine assistance.
For example, women come to me regularly saying they feel like they are supposed to homeschool, but they don’t see how it is possible for them to do so. They tell me how their children just don’t listen to them. They say how their husbands are less than supportive. Or they say that they simply do not have time to homeschool because of the business pursuits they are involved in for the benefit and sometimes even the survival of their families. They tell me how they just have to have “their” time, among many other excuses that are holding them back from doing what the Lord has directed them to do.
To this I say: “when you feel directed by God to do it, there is always a way to do it beautifully and powerfully.”
I have never met anyone successful at anything who has let excuses hold them back from doing what they feel called to do.
Remember: God calls us in our weakness so HE can make us strong.
“And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them” (Either 12:27).
I love this definition of humility that adds so much depth to that scripture:
“Humility must be something like this: knowing who you are and Whose you are and Whose power and will are moving through you” – M. Catherine Thomas.
So if you feel weak and you are feeling called by Divinity to do something right now, you’re in the right place. Listen to it. Honor it. And ask God to show you the way and give you the strength to do it.
For me, this looks like my heart being drawn to an idea. The idea peacefully lingers in my mind and every time I allow myself to think about it, I feel the fire of it lighting my soul. Then fear comes in and tries to talk me out of it, which leads to discouragement and overwhelm any time I listen to it.
When we choose not to listen to or we ignore these promptings and callings that lead our feet on the path of our divine mission, it results in depression, anxiety, emptiness that feels impossible to fill, sleeplessness, discontent and more (yes, I know this from experience).
When we live in alignment with what Heaven is calling us to do, we experience a fulness of JOY. Our hearts are full of light and love! We witness miracles every single day. Angels walk with and guide us on our paths. Life feels beautiful to live.
Any blocks that we have perceived to be in the way are able to disappear. Our faith in God makes us mighty to overcome.
Now is a time for courage and a time for faith. It’s a time to activate your life mission and wake up to the work God has called you to do. It’s a time for true humility because there are lives to bless and souls to strengthen (many of the most important lives we will ever touch are those within our own homes).
Cast out fear from your day and walk in faith. God will support those who seek Him and are true to Him. He desires greatness from you and is eager to assist you on your path. Trust Him and see the joy and strength He desires you to receive.
