It is with bittersweet emotion that I announce that we are moving this week. We are moving off of this incredible mountain to beautiful home in the valley. So much is changing right now. We’re entering a BIG new chapter in our family’s life.
Randy is FINALLY (yay!) going back to college to get his degree. With so many difficult life experiences of the past 10 years it has been next-to-impossible for him to complete his education. Plus, he never really knew what he wanted to do because the choice was always needing to be primarily based on what would bring in the most income to provide for our family. However, with our income multiplying due to our incredible team and me working as Natalie and Andy’s Creative Director, Randy is now able to make this decision purely based on heart, passion, and calling. He is now pursuing a degree that keeps him awake at night with excitement! I’ll have to tell you what it is another time because it’s so long that I can never seem to remember it. But, he is overjoyed and it is BLISS to see him happily pursuing his dreams!
Other big changes are that our 3 older children will be attending a private school this year, rather than being homeschooled. We have wrestled with this decision for a long time and feel it’s right for our children for this school year, even if our hearts yearn to keep them home another year. They are such amazing little people and have big missions to fulfill. We know this school year will support them on their paths in an important way. We are so grateful for the years of homeschooling we have had with them and plan on homeschooling again in the future.
To anyone considering living on the top of a mountain, I would highly recommend it. What an incredible experience it has been for our family! We have been so blessed with wonderful neighbors and little friends our kids have adored playing with. In so many ways living up here has been like living in a vacation home for awhile. It has been really healing for our family. It has brought us closer to the Lord. We see His majesty and are in awe daily as we gaze out our windows and enjoy a snack on the deck with the mountains, valley, and even a beautiful lake in view.
The only reason we’re moving off the mountain is because of my daughter’s half-day Kindergarten. We felt that would ruin some of the wonder of this mountain space if we were constantly living in the car and commuting 25+ minutes 3 (or more) times a day. So we found a perfect little home, only minutes away from the school. It really feels like a home and is a perfect space for kids (playroom, treehouse, chickens, etc.).
The big thing we watch for when we look for a home is we desire to live in a space that inspires us. This home in the mountains has definitely inspired us. The home in the valley inspires us in different, beautiful ways, too. We are overflowing with gratitude for how God has worked out all the details and led us on our path. Our faith in strengthened that in Him we can safely trust. We are also continuing to see how when we fully trust Him to lead us, things work out a BILLION times better than what we could have dreamed.
As for branding, there are MANY fun, amazing things in the works! I am so excited and can’t wait to reveal them over the course of the next 6 months! I have so many fun posts waiting to publish here on the blog and other fabulous projects that will inspire and connect powerfully to absolutely bring transformation to lives and businesses. Time to live fully out loud and seize the day! Are you ready?
