Everything is so green + lovely here in Ireland! Thought this little spot on Trinity College campus was so magical.
Took a 2.5 hour train ride from Dublin to Belfast this afternoon. Our hotel is right next to a fun + fabulously branded pub, called “Filthy McNasty’s.” ???? It’s the “Mc” part of the name that makes it so approachable + relatable. But seriously, I loved their branding. Classy, colorful + funky. Soooo fun! As for dinner, we ate at the “best Thai restaurant in Belfast.” It was INSANELY AMAZING. My tastebuds have been reborn. Now to head to sleep while everyone back at home is heading into lunch time. So wild.
SOOOOOOO AMAZING to see original art today from some of the world’s most famous artists at the National Museum of Ireland. This Monet blew my mind. WOW. It was incredible to see the original brush strokes + the artist’s signatures. Also saw a huge Picasso, along with a lovely Rembrandt, Van Gogh + Vermeer (among MANY others). The artist in me was in HEAVEN.
Sooooo fun to experience the Dark Hedges here in Northern Ireland this morning with Kelly! Bucket List!!!
Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge (in between two cliffs with nothing but rocks & ocean far below).
Bravely crossed the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge this morning. So fun & not scary at all. The original rope bridge that all the fisherman crossed would have been terrifying. Just one rope handrail & a weak bridge that would blow about in the wind. In it’s peak, the fisherman were catching 300 salmon a day here. Beautiful place!
It’s been SUCH a blast to play in Ireland with Kelly! Our first full day was full of magic, beauty + joy! Feeling so grateful + pinching myself that this is really happening!
Everything is so LUSH + green here!! …even the ocean. I think this is what heaven looks like.
Am I SERIOUSLY living my dream right now?!!! I’m in Ireland!! It’s amazing!! I keep freaking out with JOY!!
Isn’t Mother Nature AMAZING?!! Giants Causeway blew our minds!!! So amazing that you almost believe the Irish legend about a giant creating these 40,000 perfect interlocking stone columns. WOW.
Through the “Giant’s Gateway”
Queen of the Mountain… or at least at the top of Giant’s Causeway.
Our driver made all of us take a photo on the “Game of Thrones” throne, but he wanted us to make an “I’m going to kill you” face. I failed.
Spent the morning savoring Sligo, Ireland with Kelly. WOW. Soooo lovely!
The architecture here in Ireland is so beautiful! I love the details and the legacy. What’s this? Oh, it’s just the city library of course.
Spent the morning enjoying Sligo city in Ireland. Truly a beautiful place!
Visiting Sligo Abbey was SUCH a spectacular experience. One of the oldest + best preserved Gothic Churches in Ireland. Kelly and I both have ancestors likely buried here since they were both from Sligo. It was an incredible to experience the spirit of this place. Wow.
Sligo Abbey was truly a MAGICAL + special place. The stone walls hold the stories of centuries. Just INCREDIBLE to experience this sacred place.
Feeling SO nourished today. We happened upon the most AMAZING food in Sligo at Sweet Beats. These are some heavenly banana raspberry muffins. We also snagged a caramel bar, avocado toast, kombucha & a raspberry crisp bar. We have our work cut out for us today to savor all of this loveliness! Tastebuds are dancing with JOY.
Have you ever seen such beautiful teas?!! AND they smelled heavenly, too!
